MOTHER LOVE: ERIN PASQUET

I met Erin in New York during our time as models, her warmth and kindness drew me in especially in an industry that can be at times often catty. Today she is a mother to her wonderful little boy and founder of Doulight NYC offering pre and postnatal services.

WUNDER STORIES What is your favorite Mother's Day tradition currently? And when you were growing up?

ERIN PASQUET We don’t currently have any Mother’s Day traditions, but I am loving this stage of toddlerhood of new discovery, excitement around holidays and making things so who knows what we might come with this year!

WS What is the best Mother's Day gift you have received?

EP I haven’t received Mother’s Day gifts per se but last year my childhood best friend’s son made me the sweetest little handmade box with a note about how much I mean to his mom.

WS What lessons would you like to pass on to your son?

EP I would love for my son to be compassionate and generous, giving what he can to so that others feel loved and respected.

WS What is your favorite thing about being a mother?

EP I love seeing him grow up, discover new things and become his own (very independent) person.

WS What has your son taught you?

EP Good lord! Patience. I knew I was a patient person before having a child but the depths of my patience have been deeper than I ever knew possible.
